    With Stellar family (Stjernefamilien), playwright Nikoline Werdelin returns to the Royal Danish Theatre for the first time since 2005. Her new tragicomic drama is a story about the dilemmas of the modern patchwork family where everyone’s readiness for change is constantly being challenged. Peter Christoffersen will star as the main character Harald, in a cast that also includes Karen-Lise Mynster and Jens Jørn Spottag among others.

    Kasper Barfoed’s thriller series BELOW THE SURFACE starring Paprika Steen and Sara Hjort Ditlevsen of to Berlin

    Kasper Barfoed’s upcoming tv drama Below the Surface (Gidseltagningen) will celebrate its World premiere at this years Berlinale. The first two episodes of the 8-part tv series will be shown as part of a Special Series presentation at the festival. The show stars among others Paprika Steen and Sara Hjort Ditlevsen

    Below the Surface is produced by SAM Productions for Kanal 5, Discovery Networks Denmark. Kasper Barfoed has directed, with Adam Price (Borgen) and Søren Sveistrup (The Killing) as creative executive producers. The show is scheduled to premiere on the Danish Kanal 5 in spring 2017. Watch the newly released trailer teaser here

    The Berlin International Film Festival will take place from February 9-19, 2017.

    SKAM lll - starring Josefine Frida Pettersen - now airing on DR3/DRTV

    The third season of the Norwegian hit series Skam starring Josefine Frida Pettersen as Noora is now airing on DR3/DRTV. 

    Created and directed by Julie Andem for NRK and aimed at teenagers, Skam has become an international sensation with viewers of all ages. Josefine Frida Pettersen’s Noora was the main character of Season 2 that centers on the troubled relationship between Noora and William (Thomas Hayes), whereas Season 3 centers on Isak (Tarjei Sandvik Moe), who is coming to terms with being gay and has fallen for the older boy, Even (Henrik Holm). 

    The fourth season of Skam will be out this spring. The show has also been sold to USA, and an American version is scheduled to be produced as soon as 2017 by Simon Fuller’s production company, XIX Entertainment.

    Ingrid Bolsø Berdal will be starring opposite Katja Riemann in German director Margarethe von Trotta's next movie The Odd Couple. This is Trotta's first comedy and it tells the story of two women sharing a New York loft despite their problematic sexual/romantic ties to the man they both used to be married to. 

    The Odd Couple, which is currently being filmed, has been penned by Pamela Katz, and Heimat Film is producing.

    Trailer premiere | Jakob Oftebro stars in Charlotte Sieling's upcoming drama THE MAN

    Charlotte Sieling’s The Man (Mesteren) tells the story of the world famous artist Simon (played by Søren Malling), who meet up with his son Casper (played by Jakob Oftebro), a famous street artist, for the very first time. Casper takes everyone in his father's posse by storm which provokes and challenges Simon deeply, and the scene is set for a relentless father-son battle.

    The Man has been selected for the Dragon Award Best Nordic Film at the Göteborg Film Festival which opens on January 27. However, the World premiere will be celebrated in Rotterdam just prior to Göteborg, as a live-streaming at the Rotterdam Film Festival.     Nicolas Bro and Ulrich Thomsen play the leads in Ole Bornedal’s black comedy Small Town Killers (Dræberne fra Nibe) which is now playing in Danish cinemas. 

    Small Town Killers tells the story of the two tradesmen Ib and Edward, who are tired of their loveless marriages. Dreaming of living the good life they drunkenly decide to hire a Russian contract killer to take our their partners played by Lene Maria Christensen and Mia Lyhne. But they have badly underestimated their wives, and the two soon find themselves at the top of a kill list. The cast also include Marcin Dorocinski, Søren Malling and Ole Thestrup among others. Small Town Killers is produced by Peter Bose & Jonas Allen for Miso Film.
