Recently being honoured with the official festival label at Cannes 2020, Thomas Vinterberg’s drama Another Round (Druk) has been selected for the 45th Toronto International Film Festival in September where it will celebrate its on-site world premiere.
Another Round follows a group of friends, all weary high school teachers, who decide to experiment with the idea of being constantly drunk during the workday. Not necessarily black-out drunk, but with a mild intoxication that, in theory, would help their day go better.
Mads Mikkelsen plays Martin, while the other three main characters are played by Thomas Bo Larsen, Magnus Millang and Lars Ranthe. Players in other key roles are Maria Bonnevie, Helene Reingaard Neumann and Susse Wold. Another Round is written by Thomas Vinterberg and Tobias Lindholm. Sisse Graum Jørgensen and Kasper Dissing are producing for Zentropa. Catch the trailer here. The Toronto Film Festival is held both physically and digitally from 10-19 September.
