Ulaa Salim’s feature film debut Sons of Denmark (Danmarks sønner) has hit the local cinemas with fantastic reviews.
Set in 2025, Rasmus Bjerg stars as the ultra-nationalist politician Martin Nordahl from the newly established party National Movement. The next parliamentary election is near, and Nordahl is predicted a historic landslide victory that can secure him the Prime Minister’s post. 19-year old Zakaria (Mohammed Ismail Mohammed) is slowly, but surely moving towards a dangerous path of radicalisation. On the way, he meets Malik (Zaki Youssef), who fights his own battles.
Sons of Denmark is Salim’s first feature film, both as director and scriptwriter. It is produced by Daniel Mühlendorph for Hyæne Film.
