Filming has begun for Anders Refn’s World War II drama De forbandede år (The Cursed Years) depicting a family’s division during the occupation.
It is the story of Karl Skov, a successful electronics manufacturer with wife and five children. They live a privileged upper-class life north of Copenhagen, but as Karl reluctantly begins to produce for the German market, it causes a painful family breakup.
Jesper Christensen leads the ensemble in the role of Karl Skov, Bodil Jørgensen plays his wife Eva and Gustav Giese one of their five children. The strong cast also include Anders Heinrichsen and Anna Stokholm. It is written by Anders Refn and Flemming Quist Møller. Lene Børglum produces for Space Rocket Nation and the film is set to premiere domestically on December 25, 2019.
