Jens Jonsson’s The Spy (Spionen) charts the journey of Norwegian actress Sonja Wigert (played by Ingrid Bolsø Berdal), who was Scandinavia’s leading film star in the 1940s. She was also a double agent. Working for Swedish intelligence, she met Nazi leader Josef Terboven who recruited her as a German spy.
The biopic, which is currently being filmed, is written by Harald Rosenløw Eeg and Jan Trygve Røyneland and produced by 4 ½. The Nordic cast also includes Rolf Lassgård, Alexander Scheer, Edvin Endre, Gitte Witt Julsrud and Johan Widerberg among others.
