Vendsyssel Theatre’s new production of Romeo and Juliet is a musical reinterpretation of the passionate classic, where the narrative is explored dramaturgically and expanded through newly written music by Danish jazz musician Benjamin Koppel.
The title roles are played by Lue Støvelbæk and Luise Kirsten Skov, and the songs will be performed by the young singer Molly Koppel. Sara Marie Maltha will be playing Lady Capulet. Romeo and Juliet is directed by Rune David Grue and was scheduled to premiere on November 19, but has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the current lockdown in the Region. The new premiere date is still unknown. Click here for more info about the performance.
