HBO Max has renewed Ridley Scott’s new apocalyptic drama Raised by Wolves for a second season after revealing it has been the fledgling streamer’s top-performing original. For those of you with access to HBO Nordic – you can catch the series there from December 16.

Amanda Collin and Abubakar Salim star in the leading roles as the two androids, Mother and Father, who are tasked with raising human children on Kepler 22-b, a mysterious virgin planet, to essentially kick-start the human race. It turns out holy wars destroyed Earth, and those same religious fanatics, dubbed Mithraics, have just turned up on Kepler 22-b to make a new home. Aaron Guzikowski created the series and serves as executive producer. Ridley Scott also executive produces via Scott Free Productions in addition to directing the first two episodes, marking his television directorial debut.
