NRK’s highly anticipated 22 July starring Alexandra Gjerpen and DR’s next ambitious series When the Dust Settles (Når støvet har lagt sig) starring Peter Christoffersen are among the five Nordic drama series nominated for the NOK 200,000 Nordic TV Drama Screenplay Award.
The award ceremony will take place on January 29, 2020 at Göteborg Film Festival’s TV Drama Vision during Nordisk Film & TV Fond’s 30th anniversary celebrations. This award for outstanding writing of a Nordic Drama series is funded by Nordisk Film & TV Fond, and amongst the members of the NFTVF Prize Jury 2020 is Jakob Oftebro.
WHEN THE DUST SETTLES
The fictional-character driven drama set against a terror attack in a Copenhagen restaurant. Penned by Dicte co-creators Ida Maria Rydén and Dorte W. Høgh, the series explores the lives of eight characters (Peter Christoffersen being one of them) before and after the attack, and how their lives and fates interweave. When the Dust Settles is helmed by Milad Alami and premieres on DR1 February 2, 2020.
22 JULY
The story of the everyday heroes who took action following the July 22, 2011 terror attack committed by Anders Breivik is the focus of NRK’s upcoming series 22 July. The emotional series consist of 6 episodes and stars among others Alexandra Gjerpen as a journalist at the newspaper Aftenposten. It will premiere on NRK1 and NRK TV on January 5, 2020.
The Göteborg Film Festival runs January 24–February 3, 2020.
