Jeanette Nordahl’s feature film debut Wildland (Kød og blod) will celebrate its world premiere in the Panorama section at The Berlin Internatinal Film Festival in February.
Joachim Fjelstrup stars in the female-driven crime drama toplining Sidse Babett Knudsen as a mafia matriarch.
Set in the Danish countryside, Wildlandfollows a 17-year old girl, Ida, who moves in with her aunt and cousins after the tragic death of her mother. The home is filled with love, but outside of the home, the family leads a violent and criminal life. Sandra Guldberg Kampp plays Ida, Sidse Babett Knudsen features as her loyal, but dangerous aunt Bodil, while Joachim Fjelstrup, Elliott Crosset Hove and Besir Zeciri play Ida’s cousins.
The contemporary crime drama has a script by Ingeborg Topsøe. It is produced by Eva Jakobsen, Katrin Pors and Mikkel Jersin for Snowglobe. The Berlinale 2020 runs from February 20 to March 1. See more at berlinale.de. The domestic release for Wildland is set for March 12.
